Tu Martir Released With Behind-The-Scenes Photos

Vida Tinta's Tu Martir was well received at the House of Blues on Sunset Blvd. on August 28, 2014. Director Xavier Ybarra and Vida Tinta are grateful to those who made it to the event.

Here's what Director Xavier Ybarra says about the video, "The end result is so much different than what I set out to create. While shaping the video it began to take a new form, a great one. That's what I love about the creative editing process. I had a great time making this music video, because I had the time and creative freedom to experiment."

The Molding of a Giant | Vida Tinta's Tu Martir

Almost two months after the projected release date of Vida Tinta's Tu Martir, the project is still under way. With a mixture of post-production and Director Xavier Ybarra revisiting production on several occasions to alter the storyline, the music video is nearly complete. Left with one last day of shooting, all post-production has been completed.

"From the still captures above, I hope you get a good sense of the direction this project has taken." Director Xavier Ybarra Tells us. "It's my first time having to jump back into production once I've started post-production. It's been an exceptional ride. After spending many many hours formulating, what I hope to be, stimulating visuals and a storyline that causes you to watch several times, my work is nearly complete. I can't wait to share with all of you my version of Vida Tinta's Tu Martir." Director Xavier Ybarra explains.

Director Xavier Ybarra in Post-Production on Tu Martir

Film Director Xavier Ybarra has been in post-production for the last couple of week perfecting the final sequence of Vida Tinta's "Tu Martir." A music video that's been a long time coming, set to be released early June, 2014. With it's dark storyline, Director Xavier Yarra intends to bring an equally stimulating visual presentation to the screen.

"When telling a story visually it's extremely important to get it right. For the simple fact that you're replacing the imagination of the listener. What they may have envisioned for the song is now gone... and they're stuck with your version of it. When they hear the song without visuals, your decisions are now etched in their minds." Director Xavier Ybarra tells us.

Vida Tinta's "Tu Martir" Music Video Coming Soon

"I'm working hard to bring everyone something I've never done before." Director Xavier Ybarra tells us. The music video Tu Martir is currently in post-production and is set to be released early June. What should we expect from Xavier Ybarra's interpretation of Vida Tinta's Tu Martir? "For me, the story of the song is dark. The sort of pain that comes from the loss of love distorts the mind. The very memories that once brought happiness, now bring severe suffering. The visual story I'm working to bring audience is sure to reflect just that."

Director Xavier Ybarra to direct "Tu Martir"

Film Director, Xavier Ybarra, of Signature Xavier is set to direct the new music video for the song "Tu Martir" from the Compton based Spanish Rock Band Vida Tinta's first album, "Ya No Hay Amor". His approach for the music video came from the desire to show the suffering a person goes through when the love of their life is suddenly gone. "Such circumstances cause unusual behavior from otherwise well behaved people. Human emotion and the effects they have on us are fascinating to me. I hope that's what's portrayed in the music video as an end result." Xavier explains.

Xavier Ybarra has also directed the Spanish Rock Bands first official music video La Pastilla (from the second album "Sueno Americano"), the commercial for the second album, and the short documentary titled The Truth Behind Vida Tinta.
